On October 15, 2014, 2:30 p.m. at Senior Resources in Norwich, Attorney Joseph Cipparone will give a presentation entitled “Elder Law Strategies.” The talk will focus on the many strategies for obtaining long-term care and the ways seniors can qualify for programs to provide care. He will discuss the use of Pooled Trusts to lower income so that seniors can qualify for Medicaid and Veterans Benefits, Grantor Trusts to protect the family home, Spousal Testamentary Trusts to create a trust for the disabled spouse if the well spouse dies, and the purchase of a Spousal Immediate Annuity to lower assets to qualify for public benefits.
